Socialization is the process of being introduced in a positive way to different animals, people, places, surfaces, sounds, and learning how to be confident and settled around these different stimuli. All puppies need socialization regardless of breed, type, or temperament, and more importantly, every puppy parent needs to learn about what appropriate socialization is and how to administer it. Please do not take this for granted, regardless of your breed description. Even dogs from breeds that have a very good reputation for loving people will need to be thoroughly socialized as puppies with the right amount of distance, to ensure that they have lots of great experiences being around all kinds of different people. And more importantly, breeds that are known to be less social (often described as aloof) must not be over-faced and convinced to lose confidence in the community. Pet Karma’s mission is to share this education, so puppy parents can apply before the sensitive socialization windows of a puppy are closed.

See What Our Pet Karma Family is Saying About their Experience!

My dog Stella has socialization and aggression issues. We found Heesun through our vet Hunterdon Hills Animal Hospital and it was literally the best thing we ever did for her. Heesun and her team have worked with Stella to calm her reactiveness to different situations, dogs, and people. Heesun treats Stella like she is her own. I trust them 100% with her. Stella gets so excited when she sees Heesun and her overall quality of life is much better now that we are working to calm her anxiety and reactiveness. We wouldn’t know what we would do without Heesun and her team!
