My dog, Gus, is an 11-year-old rescue dog - he was found as a stray, so I don't know anything about his background. Gus doesn't like other animals, and he isn't too crazy about strangers, but I always thought it was too late to remediate his "issues." I was intrigued when I read other reviews about Pet Karma, where clients claimed Heesun was able to help their dogs - even dogs well beyond the 16 week socialization period, so I thought I would try it out. Gus and I have been working with Heesun and Pet Karma for about a month, and the progress is pretty amazing. I am so glad I found them! I would never have thought my old dog could learn new tricks - but he is! After four playgroups, and several "house call", sessions I cannot believe the difference in my dog (you can see him in the "Go Gus!" video - he's so relaxed and not snapping at anyone!). The education that Pet Karma has provided to Gus and me has been so great, and I can't wait to see what additional progress is still to come. Thanks, Pet Karma!

Heesun and April at Pet Karma have answered my prayers. I met Heesun when my 5 month old bull terrier was at his peak of his energy level. Heesun taught our family how to train and cope with Rocky. Rocky joined their Doggy day care for 2 days a week and has moved up to 3x a week because of the wonderful results. I can not thank the trainers at Pet Karma enough for not giving up on Rocky. We met Heesun from Pet Karma Dog Training when our Australian Shepherd was 8 months old. We came to Pet Karma seeking support and socialization for our shy puppy who acted out when put in new situations or when meeting new people or dogs. After one-on-one training sessions with Heesun where she put into practice the very strategies that World renowned Positive Reinforcement trainers use, and slow introduction to new situations, strangers, and dogs, we began to see enormous growth in the confidence and appropriateness in our dog's interactions when posed with situations that used to cause her (and us) much discomfort. Soon, our dog was making new friends (dog and human alike) and enjoying herself during Puppy Playgroups and Day Care. Both are great opportunities to gain a deeper understanding of dog-dog, dog-human behavior. Our Aussie is now a 16 month old well-adjusted, happy dog who loves hanging out with her kitty sister, taking long walks, and playing with friends. We couldn't ask for more.

Five stars is not enough for Heesan and her group. Pet Karma is the Michelin star of dog training. We started working with Heesan when we found our pug puppy, Bella, 2 years ago. We have two older dogs, one that isn't always friendly with other dogs, and two small children. I was a bit nervous about leaving them all alone and though my husband had trained our labs, I had never trained a puppy. She walked me through everything we needed and taught the kids how to continue the work with them at home. A few months into training, I had to have spine surgery and had limited mobility when home alone with the dogs during the day. I couldn't give the attention to a puppy that was needed. So Bella joined her playgroup and started working on socialization with other dogs. She has been amazing with her. A few months ago, we added another pup, Brody the bulldog, to our pet family. Using a few more sessions and the skills I had already learned from Heesan, I was prepared to work on training and Brody has been awesome. He joined the playgroup as well. They both love everyone at PetKarma, and Heesan and her staff have become my relied upon go to for every pet question or need. I would recommend Heesan's skills and expertise for every pet need.

My dog Stella has socialization and aggression issues. We found Heesun through our vet Hunterdon Hills Animal Hospital and it was literally the best thing we ever did for her. Heesun and her team have worked with Stella to calm her reactiveness to different sitautions, dogs and people. Heesun treats Stella like she is her own. I trust them 100% with her. Stella gets so excited when she sees Heesun and her overall quality of life is much better now that we are working to calm her anxiety and reactiveness. We wouldn't know what we would do without Heesun and her team!

After adopting rescue dogs in the past, and dealing with their challenges and behavioral issues, I decided to get a puppy and start from the beginning. What a wonderful journey it has been! Chelsea and I joined the Pet Karma Puppy Kindergarten class last year when she was 12 weeks old, and loved the socialization, bite inhibition training and other skills. Chelsea went on to get her AKC 'S.T.A.R. Puppy' certification and then we did an 'Intro. to Nose work' class. After that, Chelsea got her AKC 'Novice Tricks' certification and now we are in the 'Intro. to Odor' class. All of this in the past 11 months!! Chelsea loves the challenges, the other dogs and people and looks forward with great joy to her schooling. Heesun knows dogs and their behavior and it is fascinating to learn about the importance of the first year of doggie development. It makes a huge difference for a lifetime! Thank you Heesun for your knowledge, skill, and dedication. I think if more dog owners knew about this development, there certainly would be less dogs in shelters.

Thank you to Pet Karma, more specifically Heesun Andes for not only helping train my dog but really teaching me how to connect with my dog when training. I learned that not all dogs learn the "typical" way and that my dog learned more by teaching himself (the stubborn poodle in him). As a puppy, my Australian Shepherd was a love button. As time went on she started getting more aggressive and nipping at peoples heels and barking uncontrollably when she saw other dogs. My boyfriend and I got a Blue Healer, Australian Cattle dog and felt very in over our heads considering the reputation of this adorable but energetic breed. Being that this was our very first puppy and we had no idea what we were doing was hard enough, but also during this pandemic we started becoming worried we couldn't get the help and training we needed. I am so thankful we called Pet Karma because they offered us a Puppy Kindergarten class through Zoom face time once a week. It helped us tremendously, the groups were very small and intimate, and it felt like we got one on one attention for our dog.
